MIL-PRF-39015E
4.8.16 Vibration, high frequency (see 3.22). Resistors shall be tested in accordance with method 204
of MIL-STD-202. The following details and exceptions shall apply:
a. Mounting: As specified in 4.8.15a.
b. Test leads: As specified in 4.8.15b.
c. Measurement before vibration: As specified in 4.8.15c.
d. Test condition: D.
e. Measurement during vibration: As specified in 4.8.15e.
f. Measurement after vibration: As specified in 4.8.15f.
g. Examination after vibration: Resistors shall be examined for evidence of mechanical damage.
4.8.17 Salt spray (corrosion) (see 3.23). Resistors shall be tested in accordance with method 101 of
MIL-STD-202. The following details shall apply:
a. Special mounting: As specified in 4.8.14a.
b. Test condition: A.
c. Examination after exposure: Resistors shall be examined for corrosion and mechanical operation.
4.8.18 Resistance to soldering heat (applicable to terminal types P, W, X, and Y) (see 3.24). Resistors
a. Measurement before test: Total resistance shall be measured as specified in 4.8.4.1.
b. Test condition: A.
c. Measurement after test: One hour after completion of test, the total resistance shall be measured
as specified in 4.8.4.1. Resistors shall then be examined for evidence of mechanical damage.
4.8.19 Low temperature operation (see 3.25).
4.8.19.1 Mounting. Resistors shall be mounted in such a manner as to allow electrical connections to
