These resistors are available with terminal types "S" \(solderable, inductively wound\), "W" \(weldable, inductively wound\), "N" \(solderable, noninductively wound\), and "Z" \(weldable, noninductively wound\).

6.2 Acquisition requirements. Acquisition documents must specify the following:

a. Title, number, and date of this specification, the applicable associated specification, and the

complete PIN (see 1.2).

b. Unless otherwise specified (see 2.1), the versions of the individual documents referenced will be

those in effect on the date of release of the solicitation.

Packaging requirements (see 5.1).

6.3 MIL-R-26 substitution data. Resistors of this specification regardless of their failure rate designation

are substitutes for resistors of the same resistance value, tolerance, and appropriate characteristics

specified in the inactive specification MIL-R-26/5, style RW79. Also, resistors of this specification are

substitutes for new design for specification MIL-R-26/4, style RW69. However, they are not directly

interchangeable.

6.3.1 MIL-R-39007/3 substitution data. For replacement purposes only, use style RWR89 of

MIL-PRF-39007/11 over the deleted style RWR69 of MIL-R-39007/3.

6.4 Changes from previous issue. The margins of this specification are marked with asterisks to indicate

where changes from the previous issue were made. This was done as a convenience only and the

Government assumes no liability whatsoever for any inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders and

contractors are cautioned to evaluate the requirements of this document based on the entire content

irrespective of the marginal notations, and relationship to the last previous issue.
