MIL-PRF-22E
6.11.1.1 Resistance. The total nominal resistance value expressed in ohms is identified by a three-digit number;
the first two digits represent significant figures and the last digit specifies the number of zeros to follow. When
fractional value of an ohm, and values of less than 10 ohms are required, the letter "R" is substituted for one of the
significant digits to represent the decimal point. When the letter "R" is used, the succeeding digit becomes significant.
The following is an example:
3R0 signifies 3.0 ohms.
6.11.1.2 Resistance tolerance. The resistance tolerance is in percent and is identified by two letters (KK) and is
rated at 10 percent.
6.12 Environmentally preferable material. Environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum
extent possible to meet the requirements of this specification. Table X lists the Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) top seventeen hazardous materials targeted for major usage reduction. Use of these materials should be
minimized or eliminated unless needed to meet the requirements specified herein (see section 3).
