Resistors, Variable, Non-Wire-Wound, Precision
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
1.0 Abstract. This commercial item description covers the general requirements for precision, non-wire-wound, variable resistors whose electrical output (in terms of percent of applied voltage) is linear with respect to the angular position of the operating shaft. These resistors are capable of full-load operation suitable continuous operation at maximum ambient temperatures of 70°C and are suitable for continuous operation, when properly derated, to maximum temperatures of 125°C, (see figure 2).
